Scope of Works
Project Overview
A new 3-storey multi-disciplinary building close to ED to provide an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) to enhance streaming away from ED, a Planned Investigation Unit (PIU) to aid early discharge and investigation and an Essential Services Laboratory (ESL), adjacent to key clinical services, allowing the existing aging facility to be demolished and reducing backlog maintenance.
The project also introduces additional accommodation in which to provide GP Admissions Unit (GPAU) thus avoiding ED attendance and earlier specialty assessment for these patients and will deliver a central and accessible drop off point for all Emergency/Urgent Care patients at the front of the hospital.
Aging existing infrastructure on the site necessitate the inclusion of new standalone central energy plant for the ECPC building, selected in combination with appropriate passive energy reduction approaches to achieve BREEAM Excellent
