Project Overview

Re-provision and expansion of a range of services to accommodate changes to care pathways as a result of the STP optimal use of the acute sector work.

  • Critical Care
  • Burns Unit
  • Home Ventilation Cystic Fibrosis (Respiratory) Unit
  • Home Ventilation in-patient beds /weaning unit
  • Relocation of Maternity Outpatient services provides capacity for expansion of inpatient facilities.
  • Relocation of 3No existing ward facilities to provide expansion space for maternity Services (excluded from this scope).
  • Provision of a site based decant ward facility

Like other current health buildings in design stage, CAD21 is contributing greatly to the Client aspiration for achieving zero carbon and BREEAM Outstanding targets for the scheme.  CAD21 is also involved in a concurrent Clinical service building design also on the RVI site, and is therefore applying a whole site energy strategy for the future to the design of both buildings.
